Playlists from the Past: Check out the National Jukebox!

The Library of Congress’ National Jukebox preserves historical recordings and serves them up to the public over the web free of charge.  Their 10,000 recordings from the Victor label made between 1901 and 1925 are the tip of the iceberg. From Geraldine Farrar to Chaliapin to Al Jolson, from opera to ragtime to World War One faves to 20’s pop, the famous and the obscure are all here.
